The IQ Consulting group expanded and acquired Ohana Family Photography in 2007.

One key growth area in UK is wedding planning. This stems from a fashionable American approach, where a consultant handles all of the arrangements and effectively manages the wedding like a project, leaving the bride and groom virtually stress-free.

Since we have project planners at IQ, we felt that this was an area worthy of expansion, but unlike the approach taken in the USA, we would provide a one-stop-shop and keep everything in-house.

With the acquisition of Ohana, it was possible to offer photography and videography to other projects as well as weddings. We were able to start streaming media on web sites, produce web based video albums etc and since the whole thing is undertaken in-house, we can keep the costs down, making for an attractive proposition.
